Coventry-based Tudor Environmental is a leading UK supplier of a comprehensive range of quality products to fulfil the needs of the Professional Grounds Maintenance Industry. It has a strong commitment to provide a helpful, friendly and very high level of personal service and delivering a better buying experience to its customers.
In addition to a centrally based trade counter, with excellent road network and easy parking, Tudor offers a nationwide, largely free, delivery service.
Tudor offers one of the largest ranges of professional hand tools in the UK, as well as garden machinery and PPE wear (such as Hi-Vis, protective workwear and waterproof clothing).
Over lockdown, Tudor saw increasing demand for its products through its ecommerce channels. To take advantage of this market opportunity, Tudor was keen to update their existing website to provide a powerful platform that would allow them to truly exploit the market opportunity offered to them. From their research it was clear the Magento ecommerce package offered this solution
Equally as important was to integrate their iQ Intact ERP system to provide a real time link to pricing, stock and customers from their ecommerce store to their back-office systems. This would provide a much better user experience and give them real competitive advantage.
After evaluating a number of agencies Tudor selected Magium, based on Magium’s Adobe partner status, their knowledge of Magento, experience in the sector, and track record of ERP integration.

Our Solution
Magium’s consulting team worked with Tudor to capture their business requirements. Interactive workshops led by Magento specialist gave the opportunity for all Tudor stakeholders across Tudor’s different departments were held, guiding them through Magento’s rich functionality to ensure a complete solution was documented.
Graphic design concepts based on creative flair, Tudor branding and best practice were presented and agreed. Detailed integration schemas were built to demonstrate the data flows between Intact iQ ERP and Magento to keep a seamless link between the two systems and automate the back-office fulfilment function.
As part of the build Magium put together a team including skilled developers, project managers, technical architects, infrastructure engineers and QA specialists to work on building the solution precisely as specified. Weekly update calls and regular project updates ensured the client was fully appraised with development progress until the solution went live.
Results
Tudor’s ecommerce site has delivered a platform for growth. With a worldwide community of developers to draw on, not to mention ongoing Magento software updates introducing new features, the functionality available to draw on is vast.
The system is fully integrated into the Intact iQ back-office ERP to provide live pricing and stock levels and enable sales to be passed from the ecommerce platform back into Tudor’s internal system.
Built into Magento is the easy-to-use Magento content management system (CMS), which allows Tudor full control over their website storefront, enabling changes from simple marketing and promotional banners to seasonal facelifts.
