Challenge

Since 1957, Manchester-based NSI has been a manufacturer of high quality monomers, polymers, and other enhancement products for the professional nail industry.

As early developers, inventors, and chemists, NSI pioneered and developed the first non-yellowing, cross linked formulations used in all traditional acrylic systems today.

As pioneers, NSI was the first to introduce fibreglass-reinforced polymers, light activated liquid and powder acrylics, Uv cured gels, and air and heat activated polish sealants. Its chemists continually meet the demands for innovative products. They needed a powerful new website to engage its client base and increase sales whilst lowering manual processes

Complex B2B functionality

NSI has a network of dealers and salons across the UK that each had differing price rules held in its SAP ERP system. The new website needed to accept on account payments, with customers having set credit limits and credit card purchases. NSI also needed slick design to represent the brand values and messaging of the company, standing out is a crowded marketplace.

Our Solution

Magium provided a technical Discovery Phase which architected and documented at the integration with SAP. Subsequent to that there was a functional workshop and to ensure all the features needed Phase One would be delivered. The site was then built by Magium’s development team which included project management, testing and release management into the live environment hosted by Magium partner UKFast.

The site provides a full product range as well as the ability to book courses to help salons and practitioners train up in nail and beauty skills and techniques.

Results

The site is now a hub of the business and providing automated ordering across the UK. This has become particularly important during the COVID epidemic allowing NSI Nails to carry on engaging with its client base. Magento continues to offer a platform for growth and the site is continually growing to realise the ROI provided.
